Dissatisfied with the lack of fun, our founder set out on an adventure of a lifetime to create a unique, inclusive travel experience for all. Traversing the many countries of the world, the founder became enamored with the culture of the locals and found off-the-beaten-path experiences that you could never find as a tourist alone.After finding inspiration in the world’s hidden gems and local cultures, the founder of HiLocal decided to share his love of off-the-beaten-track journeys with the rest of the world. With a desire to connect people and cultures globally, he set off on a mission to help travelers experience countries more intimately and authentically. Knowing that Going off and exploring the world like this can be challenging if you’re not acquainted with the culture or fluent in the native tongue.

HiLocals was founded to simplify all this by arranging everything beforehand for hassle-free travel. All travel plans are left to the hands of the locals of the destination as an alternative to classic tourism that rules over the travel world. We break away from the typical touristic sites and overplayed historical areas and instead take travelers deep into the heart of the destination of their choice. We give travelers a glimpse into the day-to-day details of vastly different and endlessly interesting cultures. With hands-on activities, living and eating with locals, and other unique experiences, HiLocals is a fully immersive experience meant for experiencing another culture in the most intimate and personal way.Our desire to make a positive impact on local communities rather than just see them on a superficial level, HiLocals works hard to create a travel experience founded on bonding and connecting with people and nature.
